Tyris, a native of Chicago, has been on the jazz scene for several years performing in local jazz clubs in and around the city. Tyris is dedicated to perfection in his playing and as a musician, producer and composer, he has participated and help create some memorable music for other artists around Chicago including Mike & Gina Thurstson, Monique Whittington and Euclid Gray as well as international artists such as Jai Walia of India.

"I like to write songs that speak to the innermost being of a person and music is a universal language that appeals to all the people of the world." says, Tyris. After several years of playing the organ for church, Tyris began honing his talents around Chicago. He then proceeded to take the show from the Chicago Jazz clubs to the road, to countries like Singapore, New Delhi and Mumbai, India, Seoul, Korea and Shanghai, China.

Tyris has just recently finished a tour of Seoul, Korea with his band, where they performed at The Sirocco Club inside of The Sheraton Hotel. The CD 'Angel' is the sophomore release of, Tyris with smooth piano techniques on songs like 'Trinity', and funky grooves like the hit song 'Melissa', dedicated and written by his guitar player Leonard 'Len' Stallworth for his daughter, and the title track 'Angel', with smooth vocals that compare with such artists like Billy Holiday and Diane Reeves. Tyris have been interviewed and featured in magazines and news papers around the world and appeared on major televsion shows such as, Good Morning India and World News.
